ENVIRONMENTAL LAPS RATE

The lapse rate is defined as the rate at which atmospheric temperature decreases with an increase in altitude. The terminology arises from the word lapse in the sense of a decrease or decline.

For every 100 metres above the sea level, the temperature decreases at the rate of 0.6°C

What is forest?
Forest is a large area of land covered by many trees.

Grass and other plants are also found in forests.

Forest can be natural or planted.

Natural forests are forests with trees which were not planted by man.

Planted forests are forests with trees which were  planted by man. Also known as artificial.
