Quadratic Expression and Equation

Operation in Quadratic Expression

As we discussed on first part about the meaning of quadratic Expression and equation, here we continue in operation:

Factorization:

Some expression may have common number or letter that multiplied by each term in it. For example in this expression 10 + 15, the common number is 5 that multiplied by 2 + 3 and obtained 10 + 5, i.e. 5(2 +3); also in 2x + 6x2, here the common number is 2x that multiplied by 1 + 3x i.e. 2x (1 + 3x). so the process of finding and factor out a number is called factorization, and vice versa is expansion. Quadratic Expression and Equation

introduction

In this part we will explain the meaning of Quadratic expression and equation so as to make you bright understanding on next lesson:

Before we continue, let’s check the meaning of expression.

In mathematics we have something called term; a term is a single number or letter that expresses something. For example. 5, 2x, 1.9, 1/2, etc. all these are terms. Read more ..........

APPROXIMATION IN CALCULATION

It is another part where we approximate before we calculate certain operation such as 45 x 68, 4.65 x 87.2 and some like that.

How do we approximate? And what are the rules?

It is simple,

For all whole numbers approximate to the nearest large value such as 45667 to ten thousands to become 50000, 45 to the nearest tens to become 50 and 522 to hundreds to become 500. Read More ........
